An audience of parents and teachers were treated to an engaging evening of presentations of Design and Technology projects from our current class 10 students this week.

This is a component of our Design and Technology curriculum for class 10; the students are given a brief and a theme, they then have the freedom to come up with a concept and design. Their proposals are assessed and approved and then they make their product. Their guardian, Michael Turner provided them with the theme of “water” and the sheer variety of products inspired by the theme was exciting to behold!

The evening was competently compered by one of the students who introduced his classmate’s one by one. One student made a beehive and beautiful items made from the by-products of the hive. Another student made a beautiful mobile from felt and fibres representing storms and rain; she expressed that the process supported her to overcome her fear of storms.
